I already have a vector 3 printer but am also building one from thee magazine (I will probably give one to a school) Now that issue 65 has told people to switch on Ihope we will see some activity on this board. I have downloaded the platform jack from issue 64 and sliced it. I dont think I will [rint it as it says that it takes 22 hours! I rhink the printer is great and assembly has gone very well with al parts fitting perfectly.

i think you will find the fan is very noisy, whats your opinion?

I cannot say that I have found this a problem. There are actually three fans. One stand alone on the rear bottom, one in the power unit and one on the hot head. Combines and without the cover you can certainly hear them but it has not worried me
